Twitter thoughts: contemplating the secret’s of Twitter’s success

With vigour, I have pondered the social networking phenomena, particularly twitter.com, over the holiday season.

Like lightning, it struck me today… (ok, too much time watching grass grow after the rains)… as a result I conclude the following :

“the secret to twitter is the secret”
My quote and it is copyrighted to me !

Let me attempt to explain: as the very essence of a business oft’ lies in it’s “secret ingredients”(thanks Colonel) - recipes, codes, practices, products and/or procedures –  like a magnet, the “not knowing” arouses curiosity. Every tweet, particularly those with links, is a tease. This may, or may not, be intentional. It does, however, work.

Behind every 140 characters is a message.
Behind every message is a story.
Behind every story is a curious human.

To at least some modicum, humans are curious creatures: life, business, family, culture, far-off lands, sun or surf. The forces which drive us demand our curiosity.
Knowledge for the hungry - via text, audio or visual; whether information, news, gossip, contact, product or service -knowledge empowers humans.

Twitter got it !

We know what happened to the cat !
In the meantime … what a service to the connectedness of, not only humanity, but of all things!
Thoughts from my office. What do you think?
